Starting all the way back at pregnancy nurturing a child presents some unique health challenges. Many women experience unique aches and pains during pregnancy. During pregnancy our joints, especially the pelvis, needs to undergo loosening of the ligaments to prepare for the birth process. On top of that, the growing baby changes the weight distribution of the body and can leave women more susceptible to injury. So with these changes, even if a pregnant women is not experiencing new aches and pains, it is important to incorporate habits for injury prevention. Chiropractic care during pregnancy is a safe and excellent way to promote health through the birthing process.

Raising Children:

Children live at a pace that is very different to adults. Your kids probably like to be picked up, to run, and to wrestle. Sometimes as adults we have a hard time keeping up. We at Concho Valley Chiropractic hear all the time that our new patients just want to be able to throw the ball with their child, or be able to pick them up for longer periods of time. Our main goal with chiropractic care is to restore function the body. So we encourage both moms and dads to seek regular chiropractic care in order to keep up with the kiddos.
